The documentary is completed! It has been a long journey which began for me in 2009 when I first heard of the Rhythm Club Fire. The final edits to the documentary were put on hold for quite a while because of a couple factors. When you work on a project as emotional as this one, it starts to consume your everyday life. I wanted to ensure that the story was told in a manner that did justice to the 209 people who lost their life that night, April the 23rd 1940 and to the community that were left to deal with the aftermath. The scope of this event weighed heavy on my heart. I think we have created a good film in which people can finally understand what happened that night. Now its off to the film festivals.
Awesome!
How can I see this documentary film? I am in TX. This story touched my heart the first time I read the memorial sign in Natchez yrs. ago.
